UNCERTAIN GERMANIC TRIBES, Pseudo-Imperial coinage. Late 3rd-early 4th centuries. 'Aureus' (Gold, 20 mm, 2.83 g, 12 h), 'Plated Group'. IIIIO IIII Laureate and cuirassed imperial bust to left. Rev. II IZIΘ Θ / ΘZΘ Two male figures standing left and right; the one on the right holds a long scepter ending in a knot in his right hand; the one on the left holds a shorter scepter ending in a 'treetop' in his right hand and places an uncertain object on a tripod or altar between them. Holed and with some breaks in plating, otherwise, very fine.
